Nelson Longsworth, Principal, Anglican Cathedral College
"So our business programme I think will be the one that will be the first to make use of these devices. We would like to be able to get our students who in the business programme to be able to reach a certain level with the accounting programme, that is widely used across businesses in Belize so that when they leave here they are far more marketable or because of the skill sets they have already acquired we also have a programme with the group of students called computer solutions and these require, devices that can handle new software and video editing and productions and so on. They do programming as well and other desktop publishing components to that programme and these kids they end up leaving here from very high level skills as it comes to the use of the technology. And can actually start up their own businesses etc. because these are becoming more and more what they need and I think that will well this will definitely push that programme even further."

The schools that received laptops are Excelsior, Maud Williams, Sadie Vernon, Gwen Lizarraga and The Anglican Cathedral College
