Two Accidents, Non-Fatal

There was a non-fatal, three vehicle accident around 8:30 on Saturday night between miles 29 and 30 on the Western Highway. 30 year old Lorencio Vanegas was driving a car from Belize City to Belmopan, along with his wife and son - when a white Daihatsu Terrios, with a government plate, that was coming from the opposite direction, veered into his lane and collided head on. The three persons in Venageas's car received injuries. One fo them, Odelman Vanegas was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extracted by Fire Department personnel.

The driver of the white Terries with the government license plate was taken to the Belmopan hospital. And then the third vehicle crashed when the driver tried to avoid the accident and ran into the railing of the bridge.

And there was another traffic accident. This time in the Orange Walk District. 27 year old Deny Elijio, the driver of the vehicle was traveling to Belize City when he experienced a blowout on the vehicle's right rear wheel - causing him to overturn. 7 men were Travelling with him and all received head and body injuries.
