Ladyville police are awaiting the results of post-mortem which was conducted on Thomas Garcia, who was found in one the ponds belonging to the Fresh Catch Tilapia Farm, located in La Democracia Village. At this time, it's an apparent drowning, but police are following up to ensure that it is.
Garcia, a 58 year-old Guatemalan National of Cotton Tree Village in Cayo, was found floating face-down in the pond, and his body was nude.
Today, we spoke with police about what information they have so far:

"On Friday, we did get that information sometime after 7p.m. to say that a gentleman had been found in one of the ponds in the tilapia farm. The body was located and we had people go up there to look into it. The gentleman is an employee of the farm and we're expecting the results of a post mortem later today. We, at this stage, are very young into it, we did some work over the weekend into it and we hope that we could put closure to it by day's end."

Thomas Garcia was the father of 5 children.
