Prime Minister Dean Barrow left the country today to accompany his wife Kim for a regular checkup. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2011 - and after aggressive treatment, it has been in remission for the last two years.
A government press release says that the Prime Minister will return on Friday 28th August. Gaspar Vega will be acting Prime Minister.
