Cops from the Independence Village came upon a weed plantation this morning. A team of Special Branch and CIB Officers set out at around 4 this morning where they went searching in an area 5 miles southwest of the Maya Mopan Village in the Stann Creek District.

That's where they found the plantation with 36 mature marijuana plants with heights of about 9 to 10 feet. The officers immediately uprooted all the weed trees and burnt them completely. No one was seen in the area, so no arrests, connected to this plantation, could be made.
