CDB Approves 200 Million US For Belize

On Monday, the Caribbean Development Bank approved a motion to supply Belize with US$200.5 million over the course of the next four years. According to the CDB, the funds are meant to help solve some of the social, environmental and economic challenges the country faces. The CDB has also developed a strategy for addressing these issues which looks to increase competitiveness and productivity, improve quality and access to education and training, as well as governance and development planning. The plan also covers enhancing environmental management and reducing vulnerability to natural disasters.
