No More Buckets Da Biscayne
Wed, March 15, 2017

Biscayne residents have been living without tap water for decades. For most of us, it's hard to imagine a life like that - but these villagers know it too well. But for the past couple of months heavy work has been ongoing to install the system in the village which runs along the northern highway in the Belize district.

It's been activated and today there was an inauguration ceremony in the village. The very proud Area Rep. Edmond Castro and the Biscayne's chairperson discussed how life changing this water system is.

As you heard there are 700 residents living in Biscayne. Other villages in Belize rural to get water are those in Boston, Maypen and Bomba.
