Capital Cops Crackdown on Highway Craziness
Thu, August 17, 2017
Just this week, we've reported on two fatal accidents on the George Price Highway. And that's why the Road Safety Project Management Unit, Belmopan Police, National Transport Department and Belmopan Municipal Traffic Department met today to discuss traffic management on that Highway and within Belmopan. Police statistics show that most serious and fatal accidents occur mostly during the weekends and so they have agreed to increase patrols during peak hours on the Western corridor and also on the Hummingbird highway, and within the Capital city. Motorcycle offenders will specifically be targeted.

The patrols begin this weekend with National transport and Belmopan Police patrolling the George Price and Hummingbird highways and Belmopan police taking care of city streets.
