| Mexican President May Visit Belize In October |

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto is expected to visit Belize sometime this month to celebrate 35 years of friendship between Belize and Mexico. The Mexican Ambassador to Belize referenced it in a speech he gave at Belize's observance of the 207th anniversary of Mexico's Independence from Spain, which is celebrated every September 15.
He told a gathering, which included the Head of State, the Head of Government, and other invited guests that the President's visit would be a reinforcement of the very friendly bilateral relations between Belize and Mexico. Here's what he had to say in that speech from 3 weeks ago:

"Important news that I would to share with you tonight it's a possibility of an upcoming visit to Belize by President Enrique Pena Nieto next October with the framework of the CARICOM Summit which represent for us the opportunity to resume the meetings between our two nations. This will be the continuation of a list of important within our countries and interaction from the Mexican perspective has always been guided by the principles of international law. Mexico international activism in the 1970s for instance, respect for Belize determination of its people and corporation to promote economic development even before Belize achieved its independence."
No definite date for his arrival has not been set as yet, but sources tell us that at this time it's looking like last week of Oct.
