Right Under The Nose Of Police
Fri, October 6, 2017
This afternoon, daring robbers in Belize City robbed the food pantry right around the corner from the Mahogany Street Police Sub-Station.

The food pantry - which is a government pro poor community initiative - doesn't handle that much money as it does food. Those who are put into the program get a basic food package at substantially discounted prices. This one is located around the corner from the police substation on Oleander Street.

The robbers made off with undisclosed items and police did not catch them.

Similarly, on Wednesday when two men robbed Scotiabank in Spanish Lookout - that bank is right beside a police substation. It happened in the middle of the morning, but the substation was closed. Police say the officers were out on patrol at the time.
