Thu, October 22, 2026
PC Kenyon Barrow was found safe this morning around 10:30 in Orange Walk after being missing for over a month. He was last seen on September 11th and was recorded by the police department as being absent without leave.

Today ASP Smith explained how police were able to locate him.

ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"PC Barrow was identified on surveillance footage at a location that he was known to frequent prior to his disappearance.Upon learning this, police were immediately dispatched to the location where he was successfully located. While PC Barrow appears to be in relatively well physical condition, he is receiving medical treatment as a precaution. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance have not yet been established and remain a matter of further inquiry. The police department extends its sincere gratitude to all those persons who assisted in the extensive searches that were being conducted to locate PC Barrow, as well as those persons who offered prayers and well wishes."

Reporter
"Is it known whether or not he had remained in Belize during the duration of his absence?"

ASP Stacy Smith, Staff Officer
"That has not been established so far. Um, we are providing him—allowing him to get the medical treatment that he needs, and after we cross that hurdle, we will, um, seek to inquire for information and advise the general public as it becomes necessary to do so."

Previously, ASP Smith had reported that PC Barrow was seeing a counselor via the Lotus program earlier this year.
