Earlier on we showed you the steady stream of last minute shoppers in A&R Store this morning. Well this afternoon it was a frenzy in downtown Belize City as hundreds of shoppers crowded the Alberts in search of the real last minute bargains. We sampled their opinions and ran into some familiar faces.

Shopper #1,
"We di shopping out yah to see what bargain we could find out yah."

Keith Swift,
Have you found any?

Shopper #1,
"Well I noh find no bargain, I have to decide what you want and if you don't want to buy it you just have to leave it. My hand is full but I would want it to full some more."

Shopper #2,
"I just came in from work and I am just doing a few short stops like getting some fruits and thing and then I am going to the market to get some vegetables."

Keith Swift,
So you're set for tomorrow?

Shopper #2,
"Well I guess so because if I am not set I can't be set again because money finish."

Shopper #3,
"I am on the grind you know. I have to make mine every time because I am bruk bad for the Christmas. I need papers so I can get mine to go and buy things."

Shopper #4,
"I am trying to finish last minute shopping. What's left? Only clothes for the kids, I've gotten all their toys, I've gotten all the household stuff, and I guess this is it. I am done, I'm broke so I'm done; that's how it works."

"I am just downtown with my two children, Kayla and Emory, and Kayla actually came to buy, I didn't. She is the one with all the money today. I don't really celebrate Christmas but I really like spending time with my family."

"Well just walking around, picking up the last one or two gifts and more than anything else looking at people talking about spending their light bill money or phone bill money and their rent money which I don't think really makes sense."

Shopping #5,
"I am doing some last minute shopping. Everything is done; ham, turkey, carpet – everything. I've already shopped for everything. I am just getting stuff for table and stuff like that."

Keith Swift,
Why did you wait for last minute?
