The Costa Maya Festival started last night on San Pedro. In its 18th
year, the annual event attracts scores of visitors – particularly central
Americans - to the island. And while there are all kinds of attractions, the
main event is the pageant for the International Miss Reina De La Costa Maya.
Belize was represented by Felicita Arzu and she vied against contestants from
six Central American countries and Mexico. Here’s a package of highlights
of the night of glamour and blinding lights.

And while that’s it for the pageant, the main entertainment event
is on Saturday when singer Christian Castro form Mexico performs.
