Police have caught one man who they say is responsible for an armed robbery
at Diamond Entertainment Bar on St. Thomas Street. 27 year old Paul White is
one of two persons who held up the game room and bar a week ago.
He was charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery, aggravated assault
and escape Because it is a firearm offence, he was remanded until December first.
White was caught on the day of the robbery, but he escaped from police. A second
man is still being sought.
The manager Feliciano Coy told us that he narrowly escaped death because one
of the men put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger but it snapped. He
gr5abbed the gun and while they were struggling for it =- the other robbery
stepped in, grabbed the weapon and fired a shot, but it narrowly missed hitting
Coy in the stomach.
