Tonight 33 year old Caroline Polonio is $110,000 richer. The self-described “Jill of All Trades” matched all 5 numbers to win last Wednesday’s 110 thousand dollars jackpot. But while she knew what she won from last week, she bided her time – and coolly picked up her check this morning at Tropical Gaming’s office on Queen Street. She told us how she chose the winning combination of 6, 9, 10, 30, and 33.

“I won a BEL 3 out of a dream and the BEL 3 I then took a picture of it and the picture then lead to the numbers and I also would have completed 33 and so I bought the numbers, the same numbers that were on the check, the year and the month, and that is how I came up with it.”

“How did you find out you won?”

Caroline Polonio,
“Well I was in a Chinese shop and I was writing it and I myself forgot what was the fifth number and that was when I noticed that I had won the LOTTO. I tried to be as quiet as possible without sounding too excited at the same time but I was nervous to be a poor person and to win this LOTTO.”

Keith Swift,
“What are you going to do with all of that money?”

Caroline Polonio,
“Well I will let it sit in the bank and probably pay off some loans at the bank and invest wisely.”

After taxes Polonio took home $93,500. The jackpot has rolled back to 50 thousand dollars for tomorrow’s drawing.
