Police have no substantial leads in a grisly murder in Southern Belize. On
Saturday police – acting on information – went out to an area off
the Southern Highway between miles 34 and 35 where they found the decomposed
body of a Guatemalan clothing vendor from Independence Village. 22 year old
Ramiro Perez Santoya’s hand had been cut off but it was difficult to determine
other signs of violence to his body due to the advanced state of decomposition.
Police have no suspects or motive at this time.
