There was also a fatal accident this weekend. It happened on Saturday afternoon
at around 3:00 on the Lemonal Road. The chain of events that led to the death
was set in motion when 41 year old Dianne Dawson received the news that her
younger brother had overturned in his vehicle near Bermudian Landing. Dawson,
her sister and daughter left Lemonal in a 2008 Toyota Hilux and headed for the
area to see if everyone was alright. But shortly after leaving, they lost control
and the pickup flipped over. Dianne who has in the passenger vehicle was flung
from the pickup to her death. The mother of 3 was not wearing a seatbelt.
The other two passengers Dawson’s daughter who was driving and her sister
who was a passenger received only minor injuries. Much the same for the accident
they were going to check on in which no one was seriously hurt.
