Operation Jaguar has been holding crime down for the past week, but there was a shooting in Belize City last night. IT happened at around 10:30 when 33 year old Melvin Rodriguez, and 52 year old Oscar Sanchez were shot by a man on a bike. The pair were walking on Mex Avenue when a gunman rode up and opened fire. Rodriguez was shot to the left side of the abdomen and the lower back area while Sanchez was shot in the ankle. Police have no motive for the shootings. In other news, former mayoral aspirant Cecil Chubby Reneau had his gun stolen in a burglary. It is a licensed .38 revolver.
