Will The Third Time Be A Charm For The Keon Williams Trial?
posted (July 6, 2010)
After almost three hours of jury deliberation, the 'on again - off again' trial of Keon Williams Myvette, a.ka. "Duppy" came no closer to conclusion today. The jury of six men and six women returned a verdict of not guilty for murder, but when asked by Justice Herbert Lord if they had reached a unanimous verdict for the lesser charge of manslaughter they responded "no." The jury was ordered by Justice Lord to return to the jury room and deliberate on a verdict for the Manslaughter charge.

Myvette is charged with the shooting death of 32 year old Michael "Poppa" Gladden who was shot and killed on Lovely Lane February 28th, 2007. A decision on that charge should be forthcoming at anytime now, and we will bring that verdict to you hopefully during the course of this newscast. The case which first came to trial back in November of 2007, ended in a hung jury. The second had to be aborted due to courthouse slaying of Andre Trapp.
