"I have been back and forth to the US trying to seek medical assistance from them and so they have put me on a medication the name is Coveline and that was suppose to shrink the tumor but it's not working, we found out that its getting larger, we have done a resent MRI and its getting larger, so the next option that we have is to do surgery. The Doctor said if I don't get enough money in time to do the surgery it may cause me to get blind and even death. Before I use to be a very out spoken person and I was attending SJC SPS and i was looking forward to becoming a very successful teacher, but now due to this situation I can really go back to school and do what I want to unless i get this surgery."

"Well, as a mother it's really hard for me to know that my child is suffering this way, knowing that there is no way you can help financially, you know, where I am working I am a store clerk, I don't make a lot of money, so it's really hard for me seeing her in this situation. So I am asking the public assistance for whatever they can help me with money, even a prayer would help. I can't give up as a parent I really can't give up; I will try until the very end, so i will always be there for her, as long as i have that strength in me."

The 30,000 US dollars needs to be raised by August 1st, when she is scheduled to return to the US. The family is having a barbecue sale this weekend and a turkey dinner sale next weekend at 32 Gibnutt Street, across from Integral, to try and raise funds.
