And Now, A volleyball Camp
posted (July 8, 2010)
Another summer camp is making news today, this one for volleyball. It began on Monday and this afternoon we visited as coach Jermaine Audinett told us why its so important to the development of the sport that they recruit and develop young talent.

Jermain Audinett, Volleyball Coach "Well I think the summer camp is very important. One, it keeps the kids off the streets and busy, for the whole summer. One, they're learning to basics of volleyball - how to pass, serve, receive, and generally to have fun."

Emaun Hyde
"Why do you think it's necessary for summer camps like this to be held for teenagers?"

Jermain Audinett
"I think we see it in the times, it keeps the kids off the streets and it teaches them the importance of sports and a healthy lifestyle."

Emaun Hyde
"Why did you decide to become a part of the summer camp?"

Jermaine Madrill
"Because it is very helpful to me, it helps me build my technique and to get out of the streets, out of trouble."

Emaun Hyde
"What all are you learning?"

Jermaine Madrill, Camp Participant

Emaun Hyde

"Definitely"

Emaun Hyde

Patrick Swasey
"Of course you know, volleyball is a fun sport and I want to be a professional volleyball player internationally and locally."
