35 year old Lavern Longsworth the popular city resident known as "Anti Christ", who allegedly doused her common law husband David White with kerosene then set him on fire was charged with attempted murder today.
It happened on Thursday night, July 16th, and White is in a critical condition at the KHMH.
We were there as she left the courtroom and she told us that although she regrets her decision, it was purely self defense.:....

"No, nobody apologize to me or help me, so I don't think I need to apologize to nobody."

"Definitely, self defense."
No plea was taken because the offence is indictable, but Longsworth was offered bail of 6,000.00 dollars, which she met.
The case has been adjourned until August 26th. The incident occurred on Castle Street, near to the couple's home. According to reports, Longsworth put out the flames herself. Then, White, partly nude ran down the street and collapsed.
