A resident of Calcutta village was knocked down and killed on Monday night between miles 79 And 80 on the Northern Highway. Elvis Clarke was riding his bicycle in the direction of Corozal Town - when a Black GMC Acedia brand SUV - driven by Armando Garcia - accidentally knocked him down. Clarke was riding in the opposite direction of the same lane. He received severe head and body injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Northern Regional Hospital. Police have detained Armando Garcia pending charges.
