"We woke up to the knocking on door from a neighbor telling us that our cousin has just been killed. So we ran up the street and when we arrive we saw the lifeless body of our cousin."

Davis had just left home and was riding his bicycle on Castle Street - when an unknown vehicle rode up to him and fired several shots. They were several people who saw more or less what happened.

"Some people talk but nobody is going to come out and say what they saw because nobody wants to be next."

Davis was shot twice to the right temple -the bullets exited through the back of his head and the left temple. He was found lying beside his bicycle near a ditch.

Today his family says - they have taken away a good man - one that will be missed in the neighborhood.

"We are all taking it really hard because he is the type of person that helps everyone. He never likes to see anyone being taken advantage of. He doesn't have any children but he's like the father for all kids around here; the father figure for those who don't have. We are all going to really take it hard."

Monica Bodden
"What type of person was Everett?"

Felicia Michael - Cousin
"He was quite and easy going but at the same time you can't get him out but he was helpful, always trying to educate the youths around here because he says that he has been through it and wants better for all of us and he knows what it is to be poor. So he wanted to uplift everyone around him."

Police recovered one nine millimeter shell from the scene.
