They Broke Into Godfrey Smith’s Law Firm

Five men who allegedly broke into Godfrey Smith's law firm, located at the corner of Marine Parade Boulevard and Goal Lane, were charged with burglary when they appeared today in the #8 Magistrate's Court.

They are 26 year old Mark Alamilla, 21 year old Frederick Waight, 21 year old Jose Caliz, 21 year old Charles Neal and 21 year old Michael Fairweather. They pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Magistrate Emmerson Banner offered each of them a bail of six thousand dollars and adjourned their case until October 13. Twenty-seven year old Natalie Palacio, the office manager of the law firm, reported to the police that the burglary occurred between 6:15p.m on September 8 and 7:35 am on September 9. She said they stole a cash pan that contained four thousand dollars, three cheque books, one cell phone and one metal safe containing documents.
