PM Weary On Crime
posted (September 17, 2010)
And while the tourism minister is hosting his regional counterparts on San Pedro, last night the PRIME MINISTER was hosting local luminaries at the annual Tribute To Belizean Patriots. PM Dean Barrow
"This year though a shadow has been cast over the joy and uplift that we feel when we honor those that have given loyal service to our country. Certainly here in Belize City since Sunday we have been plunged in grief because particularly of the senseless murder of the young school girl Eyannie Nunez. I want to join the community, I want to join the chorus of condemnation that has taken place in the face of this senseless act and I certainly want to offer my condolences to the family. Ladies and gentlemen the gang bangers are becoming increasingly heedless, increasingly vicious, increasingly callous, and increasingly cruel. Their actions go beyond the pale and must be rejected out of hand by our society."
