The body of 50 year old Barrington Francisco Moore Sr was found early this morning around 8:30 in an open lot about 300 yards off the Roaring River Road in Camalote village. He was seen lying face up with injuries to his neck and a machete next to him.
According to police reports, his son - Barrington Moore Jr was walking on Roaring River Road - on his way to his family's farm when he heard a gunshot blast. When he arrived at the farm he saw his father lying on the ground motionless…
On the scene, police observed a 12 gauge pump action shotgun tucked in some bushes a couple feet away from the body with what appears to have been a chop mark on the gun itself and one expended 12 gauge cartridge next to it. Moore was pronounced dead on arrival at the Belmopan Hospital.
Despite the presence of a machete, a shotgun, and an expended shell, according to police there are no signs of foul play on the body. A post mortem examination is expected to determine the cause of death tomorrow….
