Killed By His Own Shotgun
posted (October 6, 2010)
On yesterday's newscast we reported on a Camalote man who was found dead on his farm about 300 yards off the Rowing River Road. 50 year old Barrington Francisco Moore Sr was found by his son lying face up with a single gunshot wound to his neck and his machete next to him. But it's not murder, today 7 News caught up with his family at the post mortem examination. They say it was a freak accident that caused the death of their loved one.

Dale Pelayo, Nephew
"According to investigations so far by the police and what we saw on the scene, my uncle seems to have took a pump 12 gauge shotgun to the farm with him. He seems to have laid it in some bushes while chopping. He might have forgotten that where he placed the gun and it seems that he accidentally chopped the gun and the gun went off and that's what probably cause the single gunshot to his throat. But that is still yet unconfirmed probably until when the post mortem is concluded."

The cause of death is confirmed as internal bleeding due to the gunshot wound - and there are no signs of foul play.
