Last night we told you about 32 year old Miriam Gillett, the prison warden who was killed on Friday night - while two other wardens were injured - in a coordinated attack which was staged not far from the Kolby Central Prison on the boom Hattieville Road.
For the family - the loss is devastating, Miriam Gillett had no enemies and she was just heading home. And what is even more troubling to the family is that after being killed, she appeared to have been robbed!
It is sick and disturbing, but apparently true as all her personal documents were missing at the scene. Today her cousin made an appeal for the return of these documents:

"The family of Miriam Gillett would just like to make a personal appeal to whoever are the people or persons who recovered her belongings if they could kindly return it to us. She has some important documents in her purse, her ID's and
certain other documents that we would really like to have, so we are appealing to everybody if they know anything or whoever are the ones that took it if they could just return it to the family."
If you have any information that can lead to the recovery of the documents you are asked to report it to the nearest police station or call the family at 661-5312 or 207-0271…
And while Gillett was killed, the other two wardens survived. Ernest Savery was shot in his neck and is stable and recovery while Sylvino Cal was shot in his foot and he needs a surgery to remove the bullett.
