posted (October 28, 2010)
And before we close tonight we have an update on the electricity distribution system.

In Lord's Bank Village only one section of the community is still without power, along the western highway form Bainsville to mile 25, only about 50 customers are still without power, in Freetown Sibun and Gracie Rock, the last 50 customers will get power by midnight on Friday. In Belize City and surrounding areas, there are approximately 130 customers reporting no power and they'll have it restored by midnight on Friday.

As for schools, those that should start tomorrow are:

Wesley College, ?St. Catherine's Academy and Holy Redeemer where they are Asking for Students from upper division to report tomorrow to assist in the clean up efforts.

And as for Channel 7, we have started work on our new tower and it should be completed by tomorrow. Thereafter, it will be another day or so before the transmitting antennae are mounted - so those who rely on our broadcast signal - in areas such as Caye caulker, crooked tree and throughout the river valley, should have that signal restored by Monday. And our transmission facility is still running on standby power as BEL has not completed the connections to fully restore power. As for the news that you folks without power or cable have been missing, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday's news will be repeated with limited commercial interruption right after tonight's newscast…
