And after that murder, there was another near fatal shooting.
24 year old Keith Middleton was shot inside his home on Levi Slusher Street around 9 o'clock last night. According to his girlfriend, they were inside their home when they heard someone knocking at their front door and shouting for Middleton. She said Middleton open the door partially to see who it was.
That was when the man forced the door opened- entered and fired a single shot hitting Middleton in the chest. Tonight he is listed in a critical condition at the KHMH.
Police are investigating the shooting.
It is of note that Middleton was shot in his right leg on October 14th -at the corner of Fabers Road and Central American Boulevard.
And it is also of note that Levi Slusher street has seen two previous murders. In April of this year -24 year old car dealer Kashif Jefferies was gunned down on that same street and in 2009 Nigerian Taxi driver Nelso Uwaoma was stabbed to death and found dead in the back seat of his car - again on Levi Slusher Street.
