Police received reports around 10:30 this morning of a robbery on Oleander Street. When operation Jaguar personnel responded - they saw 3 men riding on separate bicycles. One of the men threw what appeared to have been a firearm in a white pickup truck that was parked at the corner of Rose Lane and Oleander Street - and then attempted to escape.
But with quick police response, the man along with one of the other men - identified as Steven Polonio - was apprehended.
The third man managed to escape. After a search of the pick up - a point 38 revolver and 6 live rounds of point 38 ammunition was discovered. Polonio was arrested and charged for keeping and unlicensed firearm and unlicensed ammunition.
