Accused Rodwell Williams Shooter Valencia Back To Jail
posted (November 16, 2010)
The man accused of shooting the Prime Minister's law partner is back behind bars tonight.

A bail of ten thousand dollars on which 27 year old Ricky Valencia was released about 2 weeks ago, was revoked today by the Chief Magistrate Margaret McKenzie.

Valencia who was charged with the attempted murder of 53 year old attorney Rodwell Williams, the law partner of Prime Minister Dean Barrow, was offered bail on the condition that while he is on bail he couldn't be charged with any other offence.

That condition was violated today when Valencia appeared in the #4 Magistrate's Court and was charged with handling stolen goods.

Valencia pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Magistrate Roberto Ordonez offered him a bail of $2,500 and adjourned the case until December 21. Whether or not he did meet that bail it would have been of no consequence, because the other bail was automatically revoked - and he was sent to prison.

Police charged Valencia with handling stolen goods after they reported that while on mobile patrol on Caesar Ridge Road yesterday they saw him on a motorcycle that was reported stolen.

The owner of the motorcycle, 25 year old Angelito Conorquie, reported that the motorcycle valued at $1,500 was stolen from in front his residence on Neal Pen Road between 9 and 10 pm on November 7.
