Luz Longsworth, Director, Open Campus
"The MOU has really 5 major areas that we will be collaborating on, capacity building through public education and that includes things like conferences, lectures in areas of interest for the members and for the Belizean society, capacity building in research and data analysis - as you know we're now a data driven, information driven environment and economy and the University of the West Indies has quite a lot of research institutes that the chamber can feed on and I think we are already starting to do some of that collaborating to guide policy decisions and how they interact with the policy makers where we are already working and I'll leave Ms. Jane to speak about that is in the area of training, retraining and education and of course policy development and coordination. Finally, capacity building in regional integration."

"It is critical to development that we have all educational resources available and the chamber is extremely proud to be a part of this collaboration in that we believe that our contribution to the economy will be so much more enhance by what is about to occur. We look forward to actively continuing to partnership with UWI that has already begun and developing it, deepening it and making it extremely meaningful to our members and through or members to the economy of Belize."
