WOMAN CHARGED FOR ROBBERY

Thirty one year old, Shamika Trapp a.k.a Flowers, an unemployed of 5 Mayflower St who allegedly stole a gold chain from another woman, was charged with robbery when she appeared today in court. She pleaded not guilty and was released on bail of 5,000$ and her case was adjourned until January 4th, 2011. The incident occurred around 12 pm on Sunday, November 14th. 27 year old Tabitha Cruckshanks, a resident of vista del mar, reported to police that she stopped at a Chinese shop at the corner or Vernon and mayflower street. She said that when she was returning to her vehicle she was approached by Trapp, who ripped her gold chain, valued at 875$, off her neck. She said that Trapp walked through an alley and disappeared. Trapp was detained on Monday November 29th by the police, and denied having committed the offence. She went on to say that Cruckshanks has threatened her and her daughter before, and made up the story because of a previous misunderstanding.
