Last night we told you about the plight of Oscar Dennis Gonguez - the Belizean locked up in Guatemala on suspicion of drug smuggling.
Tonight we understand from his family that he will b taken to court on Monday and if he pleads guilty to the charge he will have to pay a fine of one thousand Belize dollars and five hundred dollars for two soldiers to take him to the Melchor border.
Gonguez was locked up in Melchor on Sunday after Guatemalan police alleged that he had a bag of marijuana.
We stress that Oscar Dennis Gonguez is called Dennis by his family - but is not to be confused with Dennis Gonguez, the Chief Met Officer….
