Man Charged For Driver’s License Paraphernalia
posted (April 6, 2011)
Last night we told you about the bust that the GSU made at a Neal's Pen Road apartment when they found equipment to make fake driver's licenses in Rayford Benguche's apartment. Benguche is a 33 year old Dollar Cab driver.

HE had a stamp that said City of Belize Department of Transport, and blank cards for the licenses. The stamp looked good as did the template, but any licenses produced would be easily identifiable fakes.

We checked today and the real city of Belize Stamp is a lot more intricate - as it incorporates the city's logo. Moreover, Belize City driver's licenses are no longer stamped, and they stopped using that particular template about 10 years ago.

Also, district stamps are circular and have the coat of arms in them, so that is also not a possibility.

Benguche was taken to court today where he was charged for procuration of a crime. He pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of three thousand dollars.
