We've all heard about the car wars - between the various major car dealerships: Belize Diesel; JMA, Bravo and Royal Motors.
Well things just got a lot simpler as Belize Diesel has now turned into a super dealership after gobbling up JMA Motors and Royal Motors.
A notice from the Toyota dealer today announced that JMA and Royal Motors Dealerships are now under the management of Belize Diesel. All business services for those dealerships will now be carried out at Belize Diesel's Office on Slaughterhouse Road and in Belmopan on the Hummingbird Highway.
The JMA Showroom will remain open and that company will still carry its flagship Mitsubishi and Hyundai Lines, while Royal will be shut down. But JMA's operation will be moved over to the Royal Motors showroom at Mile 4 on the Northern Highway starting on Monday.
All servicing for vehicles under the new corporate Umbrella will be done at Belize diesel.
The move to consolidate these dealerships is seen as a reaction to a sluggish economy where new car sales have fallen by as much as 50% and also a market that has reached near saturation point.
The price point for Toyota products remains the highest in the market and by adding Mitsubishi and Hyundai - Belize Diesel is expected to compete more effectively.
