Last week, Belize Diesel and Equipment Company, Belize's Toyota dealer sent out an email to customers declaring that the JMA and Royal Motors Dealerships were under the management of Belize Diesel. As we reported, as part of the buyout, the JMA showroom was moved to the Royal Motors showroom. This was confirmed in a conversation with the Managing Director of Belize Diesel Pi Marin.
But a Royal Motors representative called our newsroom this week to refute that statement. They say that Royal is still in operation under the independent ownership of Fen Lan Company. They say that Belize diesel is only renting the showroom for JMA and Royal Motors is still there in the adjacent property at mile at mile four and half on the northern highway.
