Restore Belize recently celebrated its one year anniversary and today invited the media to discuss its strategic plan.
The 109 page document is distilled from literature of the past ten years including the national plan of action for families and children, country poverty assessment surveys, the Crooks report, the Gayle report, the Millennium Development Goals Report Card…..you get the idea, lots of paperwork.
But the plan isn't just more bureaucratese, it's about getting government agencies, NGO's and the media to focus on a comprehensive approach to crime. Today, programme director Mary Vasquez told the media, it's a lot of work, there's no magic wand:…
