Man Charged For Stabbing

Eighteen year old Brandon Bennett, a student of Excelsior High School from Belama Phase 2, became an inmate of Belize Central Prison today after he appeared in the Magistrate's Court and was charged with attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.

The incident occurred on Friday night, September 16 around 10 o'clock, at the Belikin Fest on Marine Parade Drive. Kent Moss reported to the police that he was socializing along with Delbert Palacio and Troy Hyde when Brandon Bennett approached him. Moss and Bennett got into an argument and Bennett - who was armed with a dagger-, stabbed him in his chest. Moss was admitted to ward at Karl Huesner Memorial Hospital where his condition was reported to be critical but stable. His injury was classified as dangerous harm.

There's no bail for attempted murder and Bennett was remanded into custody until November 2.
