On Saturday from 8am to 12 noon, the Belize City Lions Club along with the Belize Council for the Visually Impaired and the Diabetes Association of Belize will be conducting free eye screening, blood pressure checking and sugar testing at the Battlefield Park. The president of the Belize City Lions Club dropped by 7news today to invite everyone out.

"Tomorrow's event is an Lion's World Sight Day, which we celebrate annually worldwide - the international club throughout the world and this take us to do a screening, diabetes testing, pressure testing in collaboration with the City Council and the council of visually impaired. We invite all the public to come out and do their testing."

"So it will be held where tomorrow?"

"This will be held at the Battle Field Park and will begin at 8:00 am in the morning to 12:00 pm."

"Yes this is free of cost for the public. We are working tirelessly helping the less unfortunate especially on eye sight conservation and this only happens with the help of the business community and the public that always support us in our events, we have this annually. Not only this projects for this particular time, but we have a lot of projects we do around the country. We do eye screening, we provide glasses to the less fortunate who cannot afford it, we have lately adopted a park at the Faber's Road Extension and we do other activities otherwise."

And in other news about special clinics, the KHMH will be hosting three Special Clinics in one week - starting on Sunday October 9th, through to Thursday October 13. They are the General Pediatric Surgery Mission, Cardiac Catheterization Clinic and a Podiatrist Clinic.
