Man Caught, Accused Of Huge Heist

Police have charged a man who they say is responsible for a huge heist.

Thirty four year old Anthony Morris, Jr., a laborer of 28 Simon Lamb street who allegedly stole money and items valued at Ninety Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty dollars, was charged with burglary and handling stolen goods, when he appeared today in the Magistrate's court.

Morris pleaded not guilty to the charges and was offered bail of Six Thousand dollars, and his case adjourned until December 15th. According to the allegation, on October 7th, Morris broke into the home of Chinese businessman, Jian Lin He, located at 60 Barrack Road, and stole Rolex watch with diamonds valued at Twenty Thousand U.S. dollars, one lap top computer, one apple I-pod, one Sony game, a second wrist watch, and a white metal safe containing Twenty Thousand U.S. dollars, and Five Thousand Belize dollars. It's also alleged that between October 7th and October 16th, Morris assisted in the disposal of the gold wrist watch with diamonds, the metal safe and Eight Thousand U.S. dollars.

On Monday, October 17th, another man Kenrick Gill, was charged with handling stolen goods in connection with the burglary and he was released on bail of Four thousand dollars.

Police say another man, Quincy Gentle, not yet arrested, is also expected to be charged.
