Female Doctor Escorted Out Of Hospital By Police
posted (January 10, 2012)
Tonight San Ignacio Community Hospital is fraught with internal tension after police escorted a female doctor out of the building. CEO in the Ministry Dr. Peter Allen confirmed that Docotora Angelica Rosado was escorted out of the hospital by police on the instruction of Deputy Regional Manager Nurse Pulido.

Allen tells us that the conflict arose because Rosado had resigned from the hospital two months ago to pursue further studies in Guatemala. But things didn't work out and the Ministry of Public Service refused to accept her resignation. So she returned to the hospital to work, but it seems Deputy Director Pullido was not having it and instructed her to leave. She didn't and that's when Pulido called the police and asked them to escort the Doctor out.

According to CEO Allen What Pulido should have done is to call the ministry for advice; She did not do that and instead, quote, "The deputy regional manager appears to have made a serious error in judgment." This caused an uproar in the hospital - where staff - according to our reports - launched a go - slow. Allen says this was contemplated but not acted on and he says there has been no interruption in patient care. The regional manager Pearl Ellis was dispatched to chair a crisis resolution meeting at the hospital and Allen says Pullido has also written an email apologizing to Doctora Rosado.

Dr. Angelica Rosado is from Benque Viejo and was first appointed as the hospital's medical chief of staff in February of 2010. The final decision on where she will be assigned will be made tomorrow.
