Man Charged For Aggravated Assault

Twenty year old David Secundino, an employee of Bowen and Bowen residing on Marage Road in Ladyville, was charged with aggravated assault and wounding when he appeared today in the Magistrate's Court. Secundino pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on a bail of two thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until February 21.

The incident occurred around 2p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011. The police reported that they received information of a chopping incident and when they arrived at the scene they saw 39 year old James Rudon with chop wounds to the middle of his forehead, his back and both arms. Rudon told police that he was standing on the Northern Highway between miles 10 and 11 when he was attacked by 3 men, one of them armed with a machete. Rudon said he recognized one of his attackers as Sucundino who he has known for 2 years. Rudon was taken to the Karl Huesner memorial Hospital where the doctor who examined him classified his injuries as wounding.
