Berne's Back With A Brand New "Dileeyu"
posted (June 18, 2012)
Berne Velasquez may be the hardest working man on the local showbiz scene.

We've shown you his work in movies, documentaries and music videos - but now he's going back to what made him famous in the first place, music.

He's releasing his latest album called "Dileeyu Reloaded" - which sounds a lot like his last album which was just called Dileeyu. He explained how it's the same, but different:..

Berne Velasquez
"Pretty much what I am doing in Belize right now is promoting my new album "Dileeyu Reloaded." This is the CD right here. The "Dileeyu Reloaded" is what we called the revamp portion of the "Dileeyu" project; as I have moved 10,000 of the last project, instead of pressing up another 10,000 of that project; what I did was added more songs to it, remixes, hype tunes that have been playing on the radio like "Do the Dance" - the song that I performed and steal the show with at spring break 2012 in Cancun on the beach. I also put "Who da the Pa" on this new album. This is a song where we talk about Supa G, Conciego, Taprik, Lova Boy and there is something on this CD for everybody, so I hope the people would find me deserving of their support as I continue to use my music to teach, inspire, uplift, motivate and encourage."

"Why i did this is because I've never really promoted "Dileeyu" in Belize and I wanted to give Belize a little bit more than what I've been giving the rest of the world. Now with "Dileeyu" being what it is; first off this project is more than just another CD. This project sets the foundation for a different level for Punta music in the country of Belize, not just in Belize but around the world because now we have Punta artists performing in spring break on Cancun beach in front of thousands of people which they have never had a Punta artist perform there before. So as I am very privileged to have that kind of opportunity I want to go ahead and put something in it where people cannot just appreciate but enjoy and also at the same time teach them something about Belize and my culture."

"I am in Belize where there is 350,000 people and I plan to move 350,000 copies of this CD in Belize; which means this Belize; we are going to have to come together, we are going to have to embrace this artist. I am going to come knocking on your door. I am going to be in front of the banks, in front of the school, in front of the grocery stores. I am going to be at the gas stations. I am going to be everywhere that I got to be to bring this package to you. When I come to you I am going to approach you respectably and humbly because that's just who I am."

"Now, I am going to expect that you do your part; invest $5 only. We are not selling this project for no more than $5. I have 11 different CD projects that I have released in the last 5 years. There is no other artist of my peers who have release 11 different projects in the last 5 years. What I am going to do is give you an opportunity to invest more than $5 if you want. You can invest $10 and get 3 different projects. You can invest even more and get more of my different CDs, documentaries or movies that I am a part of."

You can purchase your copy from the artist himself for only 5 dollars a copy.
