BDF Trumpeter Wayne Madrill was all set to play at police Corporal Victor Lima's funeral on Saturday - but he never made it, because Madrill was executed on the street in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
And now, his family is getting ready to bury the well-known music man.
Today, we found out more about his street side execution:..

On Sunday morning at a few minutes to three, 42 year old Wayne Madrill, a veteran member of the BDF band was found dead here on Cemetery Road lying in a pool of blood with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and head.
His common law wife, Elena Montes heard the shot at home:

"I was asleep, but not too asleep because that's what woke me, the echo of the gunshots."

"How many shot did you hear?"

"I heard the first one. The first one didn't sound too hard and after that I listen and I heard three more. Those there was loud - one after the other."
He and a friend were walking down the street when he was shot to the neck - and after he fell to the ground - the shooter came to stand over him and shot him in the head - a kill shot whose imprint is still left on the pavement.

"Initial investigations reveal that Madrill was walking on Cemetery Road in the company of another person when they heard several shots. The other person escape unhurt but Madrill died on the spot."
"Our investigators have established that he was not the intended target and we have the other person in custody and hopefully by interviewing that person we would be able to establish what's the motive behind the murder."
His wife knows little about the murder - only that the father of one biological child and two stepchildren have lost a father and a provider:

"This is very awful to me because no one wants to see their love one dead mercilessly, so it's very hard."
As Montes has now lost a husband - she had lost a 16 year old son to murder in 2004.
It is expected that Madrill - who has been playing with the BDF band for 21 years will have a funeral with military honors.
That funeral is set for Friday at St. John's Cathedral. Madrill was the son of well-known JP Modesto "MUDDY" Madrill.
