We've already told you about a number of homicides in the city - but there were also shootings, which left two men injured.
Last night, just before 11, an unknown gunman fired shots at the Dawson home, located on Cemetery Road.
No one was hurt, but Mavis Dawson, one of the residents at the home, told 7News that many of her family and friends were in the yard, and they could have been hit by this seemingly random shooting.
Dawson, who was at work at the time, told us what her family experienced last night.

"My brother was here and he just calls me and tell me that they are shooting around here, but he didn't told me that the house got caught. He says that they were out on the verandah when the shooting happened."
"When I left from work to come here I see an amount of police parked here dealing with it. So far they retrieve about 4 bullets from the area."

"Bullets that hits my house; it went through the window and come through the wall and it hit the ceiling also. I don't know why they come to shoot around here because they could have shot innocent people, suppose my baby was here, she would have been at the same window and she would have gotten hurt. I just want them to know that I am a single mother and no man live here."
Police are investigating the report, but they have no suspects because no one saw the gunman's face. They believe that he stood on the compound of the Salvation Army primary school, when he opened fire on the house.
The house is in the vicinity of Taylor's Alley.
There were also two more shootings. At 7:35pm on Friday 27th July, 28 year old Raymond Arnold, a stevedore was shot to the chest, under his chin, the back and right leg.
He was standing at the Corner of Central American Boulevard and Faber's Road when a spray of gunfire came out of nowhere and caught him.
And on Sunday night at 8:00, Dwayne Sutherland was on La Croix Boulevard at the corner with Mahogany Street behind the complex building when he was shot.
Sutherland was shot to the left leg and right calve by a man on a bike. This shooting is just a block from where a man was killed on Friday night.
