And apart from a major street paving campaign - the mayor is also hoping to spruce up the city with a paint job.
He outlined the effort:

"Something that we're going to unleash right now is that we're working with Restore Belize, and we will be painting all the houses along Orange Street, Albert Street, and Regent Street. And we want to be able to finish this before the ending of September. But when we make these things public, it's only with the objective of trying to get more people involved."
