Last night, 7News showed told you about the 3 Mexican Police officers who allegedly assaulted a family in the northeastern Corozal district on Tuesday night.

Well the news tonight is that the 2 officers who police did catch were arraigned in Corozal Magistrates Court. They are 46 year-old Walter Lopez Cordova and 24 year-old Francisco Javier Gamboa Villanueva, and they are currently on remand. As we reported, at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, 26 year-old Julius Foreman, his common-law wife Darlene Cabral, and their 2 children were returning to their home in Chunox (Shunush) village when 3 Hispanic men assaulted them as they entered their property.

Foreman's mother, Dora Rivero, told LOVE TV about the suspicious events that occurred that day which ultimately led up to the home invasion.

Here's what she had to say:

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"We only heard a gunshot. I was in my kitchen making supper. I heard the gunshot then my son and I came out and I saw my other son coming, blood was all over him. I ask him what is happening and he said that they just rob me. I ask him who the persons were how much of them and he said that he didn't know."

Marion Ali, reporter
"What did they rob from him?"

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"The money that he had on him."

Marion Ali, reporter
"How much money?"

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"He said that he had $1,000.00 on him. My daughter in law told me that the men had already ransacked the house because they were out and the men were already inside the house."

"From in the evening a white car was in the village - a strange car, it is not from here and it didn't have any license plates. That evening I sent my son to fill my gas tank with butane. They say that the vehicle followed them all the way here. I didn't see the car but my son says that they saw it."

"He was telling his wife that the car looks strange. After my son finish connected my tank they went out in the village; they went to buy, do some shopping. They told me that anywhere they go they saw this white car following them. They (my son) say it was suspicious but they didn't think about it."

"When they came home the men were already in their house. We want to know how they know his house and what they were looking for because my son doesn't deal with anyone."

"My son told me that the Mexicans beat him and ask him for the money and he told them that he doesn't have any money."

Marion Ali, reporter
"Did they specify which money?"

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"He didn't tell me, he just says that they were beating him and asking for the money."

Marion Ali, reporter
"They fired a shot at him?"

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"Yes but they missed."

Marion Ali, reporter
"They tried to kill him?"

Dora Rivero, Mother of Julius Foreman
"They wanted to kill him. I don't know how he escapes but he did."

Cordova and Gamboa Villanueva were arraigned this morning before Magistrate Clive Lino on charges of aggravated burglary, wounding, and handing stolen goods.

Due to the nature of the offences, both men were denied bail, and they were remanded to prison until December 6, their next court date. It is important to note that the Mexican press is reporting that these men are also facing a possible dismissal from the Mexican Judicial State Police.
